    "description": "“In that very instant I felt a sort of shudder in my bones which cured me immediately.”~Padre Pio\n\n“In a moment the Padre felt a mysterious force in his body and said to his confreres: ‘I am cured.’ He was healthy and strong as never before in his life.”\n\n“I was present at the scene and can testify that Padre Pio never felt as healthy as he did after the departure of the statue of Our Lady of Fatima.”~Friar Francesco Napolitano\n\n“Our Lady came here because she wanted to cure Padre Pio.”~Bishop Carta\n\nIt was on this day (August 6, 1959) that Padre Pio was lying in bed feeling terribly ill after being diagnosed with a cancerous tumor that was predicted to be his end.\n\nIn 1959, the Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima was visiting Italy. On August 6, the statue of Our Lady arrived in Padre Pio’s hometown of San Giovanni Rotondo. Padre Pio heard the helicopter leaving his town, and this is what he said.\n\n\"O Mother of mine, when you came to Italy, you found me with this sickness. You came to visit me here in San Giovanni and found me still suffering from it. Now you are leaving, and I am not delivered from my illness!\"\n\nAs Padre Pio said these words, the helicopter with Our Lady’s statue suddenly circled his building three times. The pilot could not explain what made him do it! With Our Lady of Fatima overhead, Padre Pio felt a shudder run through him immediately. His body was penetrated by a flow of light, and he felt the tumor burst. He cried out, \"I am healed!
